Welcome!

Welcome! This is the beginning of my study of the denominations that make up the Christian world and the doctrinal issues in which we differ. I hope that this study will be informative and as helpful as possible.

It must be stated at the outset that it is not my goal to judge denominations, rather, to demonstrate the differences that I feel separate them from the practices and teachings of the New Testament church. It is good to remember the words of James and Paul:

There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor? (James 4:12)
Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails, (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

The information on these pages comes from my understanding that I have received through discussion of doctrine with members of these denominations and also from texts of these denominations, either written by their founders or by their practitioners. It is very, very possible that some of my information is not valid. If you are a member of a particular denomination that I have discussed, and you have seen on your denomination's page that I have misrepresented the history or doctrinal stances of your denomination, please do not hesitate to show me my error with the appropriate citations below.

Now, by "misrepresentation" I do not mean the implications of the doctrine or such things; I mean only the facts. If you want to discuss how I interpret a passage or a doctrine, or do not agree about how I presented your denomination, or wish to discuss any spiritual issue I discuss on these pages, also, do not hesitate to contact me here! I am always looking to discuss issues and to gain a better understanding of truth as presented in the New Testament. You may also IM me with AOL Instant Messenger at screen name Deus Vitae, at ICQ number 28317056, or with MSN or Yahoo! Messenger at "deusvitae."

I am also willing to formally debate topics presented here on Religious Debates. For more information, click on the link provided, or click here.

For those within the Lord's Church, I do hope these pages give you good ideas and arguments to use with those who are members of denominations.

Thanks for stopping by!
