Brethren,
Greetings.
Peace, mercy, and grace be with you all from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2007 is all but complete, and we look forward to our third year here working with the brethren in Norwalk. Many good things are in the works.
Working with the Brethren
December has been a most excellent month for association among the brethren. We hosted a potluck at our house early in the month and were encouraged to see good participation. Many other parties and other forms of get-togethers have taken place.
Some of the brethren, on account of their circumstances, have developed in their understanding of the need for community and to rely upon their brethren for encouragement. This is helping to solidify the church here.
Lessons and Classes
This month's morning lessons in Norwalk involved understanding some paradoxes of the faith, including how we must learn to be selfless in our faith, and the need to be servants. We have also spoken of our debt to God and the appropriate response of good works. On the final Sunday of December we investigated James 1:22-25 and the "face in the mirror." In the evening we have begun an examination into the virtues and values that should mark the Christian, beginning with love, rejoicing, and peace. The lessons, as always, are available in outline and mp3 form at norwalkchurch.org.
The adult class has completed its examination of various denominations and movements; many have learned much. We will start investigating "minor" Bible characters beginning in 2008.
Our monthly study focused on ways women may participate in the assembly and the church and was well-attended with good participation.
Evangelism
We again knocked 200 doors this month and look to continue the door knocking in either February or March, weather depending. We are also working on creating more effective literature for the door knocking distribution.
In 2008 we hope to expand the Bible Correspondence Course, along with maintaining current programs and working to make them more effective.
Current Studies
Brittany. Brittany was able to attend assemblies earlier in the month, but various factors have hindered us from meeting with her since. We hope to continue to work with her in 2008.
Departures
We are saddened to report that Ben and Katie Salmons, along with their three children, have elected to end their association with us in Norwalk.

I would like to thank all of you for your participation in the work here in Norwalk, either through your prayers or through encouraging me or through financial support. I would like to solicit your continual prayers so that the work here may prosper.
May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits.
